Ashley Montgomery
Ashley Montgomery is an Intersectional Designer whose design lens is focused on centering community and taking a transdisciplinary research approach to inform design decisions. She has built her career on working across silos to achieve impactful and adaptive designs that respond to cultural, physical, and the environmental context. As a member of the Strategic Council and co-leader of the Holistic Design Group at Hanbury, Ashley consistently contributes a thoughtful and informed perspective to drive innovation and excellence. Her mentorship of interns and coordination of the Virginia Sea Grant Research Fellows program showcases her dedication to fostering talent and broadening the next generation workforce for Resilience in Architecture. Ashley’s genuine approach to collaboration, mentorship, and research continues to build impactful client relationships and community partnerships, positioning her as a trusted advisor and thought leader in resilience and community based planning.
